Come un libro aperto

La casa di Christina Sejr Poulsen,  insegnante che vive a Copenhagen con sua figlia Anemone, è un classico appartamento in stile nordico con il pavimento a listoni di legno chiaro, pareti e porte bianche ed arredato amorevolmente con mobili vintage ed industrial e qualche storico pezzo di design come le sedie Eames gialle e la lampada Tolomeo di Artemide.
Ma  oltre ad essere un'insegnante  Christina è anche una pittrice ed ha trasformato la sua casa in una galleria d'arte in cui espone le sue opere: maschere dal segno grafico in bianco e nero e dipinti astratti a macchie dai colori polverosi.
Alcuni oggetti poi, come l'orologio da muro, li porta con sè dalle case in cui ha abitato precedentemente, mentre altri, come il tappeto marocchino in sala da pranzo, sono ricordi di viaggio.
Una casa come questa è come un libro aperto, racconta molto di chi la abita, gusti, passioni, personalità, e tutto questo la rende unica. 

Like an open book

The home of Christina Sejr Poulsen, a teacher who lives in Copenhagen with his daughter Anemone, is a classic apartment in Nordic style with light wood flooring, white walls and doors and lovingly furnished with vintage or industrial  furniture and some old piece of design as the yellow Eames chairs and Tolomeo lamp by Artemide.

But besides being a teacher, Christina is also a painter and has turned his home into an art gallery where she exhibits her works: masks from drawing in black and white and abstract painted with spots in dusty colors.

Then some objects, such as wall clock, she brought them with her from the house where she lived previously, while others, such as the Moroccan carpet in the dining room, are travel memories.

This house is like an open book, tells a lot of its inhabitants, tastes, passions, personalities, and all this makes it unique.

I grandi luminosi spazi di Mette

Chi sogna grandi spazi luminosi amerà la casa a Hellerup, Copenhagen, di Mette Heiberg, con le sue grandi stanze dagli alti soffitti.

Mette  ha ristrutturato i 230 mq del suo appartamento, che risale al 1925 e che nel tempo non ha subito grandi modifiche,  rispettandone  gli elementi originari.

Fulcro della casa è la grande cucina arredata come fosse un living con un lungo mobile in douglas, un divano, una classica libreria laccata, il tavolo disegnato da Rud Thygesen e le sedie "Tulip" firmate da Eero Saarinen.

Mette e la sua famiglia amano i pezzi di design, come il divano rosa disegnato dai fratelli Ronan e Erwan Bouroulle,  ed i tappeti marocchini che si accordano piacevolmente ed imprevedibilmente al pavimento in lunghe tavole di legno sbiancato tipico delle case scandinave.

La lunga prospettiva del corridoio è sdrammatizzata da una "boiserie" realizzata tinteggiando per metà dell'altezza le pareti di un azzurro pallido.

Colori pastello anche in bagno con il pavimento a mosaico esagonale bianco e l'angolo doccia rivestito con mattonelle in una tonalità  tenue di verde.

Io  trovo questa casa un tipico esempio di interno scandinavo, luminoso ed essenziale ma allo stesso tempo molto personale, con quel tocco in più, che non guasta, di chi apprezza il design di qualità e non ama gli oggetti anonimi.

The big bright Mette spaces

Those who dream big bright spaces will love the house in Hellerup, Copenhagen, of Mette Heiberg, with its large rooms with high ceilings.

Mette has renovated the 230 sq m  of her apartment, which dates back to 1925 and that over time has not undergone major changes, respecting the original elements.

Hub of the house is the large kitchen furnished like a living with a  long furniture in douglas wood, a sofa, a classic lacquered bookcase, a table designed by Rud Thygesen and the "Tulip" chairs  designed by Eero Saarinen.

Mette and her family love the design pieces, like the pink sofa designed by the brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroulle, and the Moroccan rugs that they have matched nicely and unexpectedly to the floor in long bleached wood planks typical of Scandinavian homes.

The long  prospect of corridor is played down with  a "boiserie"  tainting for half the height the walls with a pale blue.

Also in the bathroom there are pastel colors with white hexagon mosaic floor and the shower area covered with tiles in a pale  green.

I think this house is a typical example of the Scandinavian interior, bright and essential but at the same time very personal, with that extra touch, which is good, of those who appreciate quality design and who don't like anonymous objects.

Design scandinavo per l'SP34

Se pensate di trascorrere qualche giorno a Copenhagen, prendete in considerazione di alloggiare in un hotel in puro stile scandinavo, i cui interni sono stati curati da Morten Hedegaard: l'SP34.

Si trova nel vecchio quartiere latino, tra negozi e ristoranti di tendenza, ed è stato arredato con pezzi di design locale e materiali naturali come il legno, il cuoio, la ceramica e l'ottone.

I colori neutri o "spenti" come il rosa polvere, l'avio, il caramello ed il grigio ammorbidiscono la luce che entra dalle grandi finestre e dai lucernari, creando una piacevole atmosfera rilassata.

Posto di onore, per un oggetto simbolo della Danimarca: una bicicletta.

Scandinavian design for SP34
If you plan to spend a few days in Copenhagen, consider staying in a hotel in pure Scandinavian style, whose interiors have been cured by Morten Hedegaard: the SP34.
It is located in the old Latin Quarter, between shops and trendy restaurants, and has been furnished with pieces of local design, natural materials such as wood, leather, ceramics and brass.
Neutral or dull colors like pink powder, the aviation, the caramel and gray soften the light from the large windows and skylights, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Place of honor, for an object symbol of Denmark: a bicycle.
