Ecce Home: Madame Tour Eiffel e le rose

E' un po' che non scrivo post, ma per un buon motivo; ho trascorso un lungo (ma a me è sembrato brevissimo) weekend a Parigi.

E siccome sono entusiasta di questa città e dei suoi abitanti, voglio condividere con voi quello che mi ha colpito di più.

Ho scelto di alloggiare in uno dei quartieri che preferisco, Le Marais, per cui partirò da qui per fare un breve tour.

Ovviamente uno dei luoghi più famosi è il Centre Pompidou e gli spazi adiacenti con le divertenti sculture della fontana Stravinsky (Fontaine des Automates).

For some time I do not write a post,but for a good reason; I spent a long(but to me it seemed very short)weekend in Paris.
And since I am excited about this city and its inhabitants, I will share with you what impressed me the most.
I chose to stay in one of my favorite neighborhoods, Le Marais, so I leave from here to take a short tour.
Obviously one of the most famous is the Pompidou Centre and adjacent spaces with fun sculptures Stravinsky Fountain (Fontaine des Automates).

Le fa da sfondo la chiesa di Saint Merri in piacevole contrasto con il grande murales disegnato sulla parete di un edificio adiacente.

The background is from the church of Saint Merri in pleasant contrast with the large mural painted on the wall of an adjacent building.

Nella vicina Rue Saint Croix de la Bretonnerie c'è una serie di negozi di arredamento e oggettistica per la casa (come Fleux), in cui avrei passato una giornata intera; qui è possibile trovare tutte le novità e ogni sorta di oggetti curiosi e divertenti.

In the nearby Rue Saint Croix de la de la Bretonnerie there is a series of furniture stores and household items (such as Fleux), where I spent a whole day; Here you can find all the news and all sorts of curious objects and fun.

Per quanto riguarda i locali ho trovato molto piacevole e cool L'Eventail, in Boulevard Voltaire, in cui è possibile fare la colazione (ottimi cappuccini, e baguette con burro e marmellata) ma anche pranzare e cenare ed in cui terminare la giornata bevendo qualcosa (è aperto fino alle 2,00 del mattino).

About the restaurants I found it very pleasant and cool The Eventail, on Boulevard Voltaire, where you can have breakfast (excellent cappuccinos, and baguette with butter and jam) but also dine and where to end the day with something to drink (it is open until 2.00 am).

Passando in un'altra zona della città, gli Champes Elysees, guardate com'è interessante l'allestimento esterno della mostra dedicata ad Augusto Imperatore al Grand Palais... (un po' d'Italia anche qui).

Moving on to another area of the city, Champes Elysees, look how interesting the external design of the exhibition dedicated to Emperor Augustus at the Grand Palais ... (a little 'of Italy also here).

Ho poi trascorso qualche ora all'Orangerie, un'architettura interessante, che ha subito parecchie modifiche nel tempo, oltre che un luogo in cui poter ammirare il ciclo delle ninfee di Claude Monet e tante altre opere di pittori come Cezanne, Modigliani, Picasso, collezionate dal mercante d'arte Paul Guillame.

Then I spent a few hours at the Orangerie, interesting architecture, which has undergone several changes over time, as well as a place where you can admire the cycle of water lilies by Claude Monet and many other works of painters like Cezanne, Modigliani, Picasso, collected by the art dealer Paul Guillaume.

Sarà perchè siamo a maggio, ma ho trovato Parigi letteralmente invasa dai fiori, sopratutto rose: dall'iper chic negozio Costes Dani Roses di Rue Saint Honorè al mercato di Place d'Aligre.

Ma quello che mi ha colpito di più è che moltissimi Parigini sabato sera avevano in mano mazzi di fiori...

It will be because we are in May but I found Paris invaded by flowers, especially roses: in the hyper chic Costes Dani Roses store on Rue Saint Honoré and in the Market Place d'Aligre.
But what struck me most is that many Parisians Saturday night were carrying bunches of flowers ...

Per finire come non rendere omaggio a madame Tour Eiffel che quest'anno compie 125 anni (splendidamente portati) ed alla futuristica vista della Defance.
