Tra le mille attività che ormai svolgiamo con computer, smartphone e tablet ce n'è una cui non riesco proprio ad abituarmi: la lettura dei libri in formato digitale, insomma degli ebook.
Non nego la straordinaria comodità di immagazzinare il contenuto di pagine e pagine in un piccolo dispositivo (e di portarle comodamente con noi ovunque vogliamo), ma l'esperienza sensoriale offerta da un libro tradizionale, coinvolgente non solo per la vista ma anche per il tatto e l'olfatto, perdonatemi, non la può dare la lettura di un file.
Così continuo ad acquistare e a custodire gelosamente libri in formato cartaceo che, si sa, necessitano di cure e di una collocazione adeguata.
Ecco perchè ho deciso di cimentarmi nel progetto di una nuova libreria per la mia casa, idea che da parecchio tempo mi frulla per la testa, ma fino ad ora per varie ragioni, rimandata.
Una volta individuata la posizione della nuova libreria la domanda che mi pongo è: che impronta dare al progetto?
Al riguardo ho le idee chiare: mi piacerebbe una libreria dal disegno semplice ma non minimalista, che abbia un aspetto solido senza risultare eccessivamente imponente.
Mi accingo quindi ad impugnare la matita ma prima faccio il mio solito giretto in internet in cerca di spunti ed esempi che mi aiutino a mettere ancora più a fuoco la mia idea.

About books and Bookcases
Among the many activities that we carry out now with computers, smartphones and tablets there is anyone that I just can not get used to: the reading of books in digital format, in short, e-books.
I do not deny the extraordinary comfort to store the content of pages and pages in a small device (and to take them comfortably with us everywhere we want to), but the sensory experience offered by a traditional book, embracing not only for the view but also for the feel and smell, forgive me, it may not give the reading of a file.
So I continue to buy and treasure books in print and they, you know, require care and a suitable placement.
That's why I decided to design a new bookcase for my house, idea that for some time I blend for the head, but until now for various reasons, postponed.
Once the location of the new bookcase, the question I ask is: what mark to give to the project?
In this regard I have clear ideas: I would like a library from the simple but not minimalist design, which has a solid look without being overly imposing.
So I am going to hold a pencil, but before I do my usual stroll in the Internet in search of ideas and examples that help me to put even more focus my idea.
