Sto leggendo "L'età dell'innocenza" di Edith Wharton e sapete nella conformista New York di fine ottocento cosa colpiva di una donna originale come Madame Olenska? La capacità di disporre i fiori che riceveva in regalo non in grandi mazzi ma distribuendoli qua e là, il talento di creare composizioni semplici e personali.
Sicuramente l'esotica, raffinata ed anticonformista contessa Olenska avrebbe adorato queste di sole foglie.
Foglie recise di monstera, filodendro, banano, palma, felce ma anche di fico. Piccoli vasi con rami di edera.
Io le trovo molto eleganti. E nella stagione delle potature potrebbero essere a costo zero.

I'm reading "The Age of Innocence" by Edith Wharton and do you know what struck the conformist high society of New York in the late nineteenth century? The ability of an original woman like Madame Olenska to arrange flowers that she received as a gift not in big bunches but distributing them here and there, the talent to create simple and personal compositions.
Surely the exotic, refined and maverick Countess Olenska would loved these compositions of only leaves.
Leaves of monstera, philodendron, banana, palm, fern but also leaves of fig. Small pots with ivy branches.
I find them very elegant. And in the season of pruning may be at no cost.
