Knit-design

They say that, at least over here, this autumn and an early winter were  warmest of the last years. But the colder months are upon us and for those who like me, as soon as the temperature drops, dreams immediately the warmth of spring, you just have to warm up the atmosphere with objects that, at least to the eye, give the feeling of soft and warm.

Well, but how to do this without turning our city apartment in a mountain cabin?

I think the furniture covered with warm knitted  fabrics are perfect;  as the lamps Granny by Casamania coated with precious yarns from Tyrol, specially treated with a natural system to resist heat, and the  pillows of Melanie Porter or  the ceramics of Reshape Studio simulating braids of Irish sweater.

And if you love the knitting but the time available there seems never enough, never fear, from knitting noodles  or ohhio you can try  kit (irons and balls made of pure merino wool) to quickly create soft scarves, blankets and even a kennel for your cat.
I'll try and you?

Ricordi di ogni generazion sulle bancarelle di...Campagnano Romano

"Portobello Road, Portobello Road,

Memories of each generation on the stalls of Campagnano Romano ....
"Portobello Road, Portobello Road,
street where the riches of age are stowed.
Anithing and everything a chap can unload
Is sol off the barrow in Portobello road"
So  the text of the song of an old children's films  (Bedknobs and Broomsticks) .
But I do not want to talk about Portobello Road, rather the Campagnano Romano market , essential step, every last Sunday of the month, for lovers of antiques, modern, vintage, bric-a-brac, and crafts.
Winds through the streets and squares of the medieval village located about 40 km north of Rome and between the goods exhibited by about 250 exhibitors you can find all sorts of objects, time and invoice.
And if you are experienced you may find a real treasure.
My favorite stall? "Mercante di Ricordi" where you'll find old lamps and lanterns, vases, clocks, cameras, glasses and many other curious objects and fun and, why not, some real rarity ..
