A habitable museum in Palermo
There is a flat on the main floor of an old Palermo building (Palazzo Torre Pirajino) which is also a museum: the majolica museum, run by the Stanze al Genio Cultural Association and open all year round by appointment.
I do not want to talk about the wonders that you can discover by visiting the museum, but show you the house itself, restored very well, eliminating all additions, partitions made over time by previous owners, and bringing to light the fundamental elements that characterize it.
In particular, I was fascinated by the way in which the furniture between vintage, modern and contemporary design is integrated effectively with the collections on display, making it a "habitable" museum.
Definitely a visit not to be missed for those who are in Palermo
this year the capital of Italian culture.
